The royal household member resigned and apologized after making "unacceptable and extremely regrettable comments," Buckingham Palace claimed.

Fulani, who was born in Britain and attended the event on behalf of Sistah Space, a support organisation for African and Caribbean women afflicted by violence, tweeted the complete exchange.
