Alec Baldwin and Halyna Hutchins' family settle

Alec Baldwin and the family of "Rust" cinematographer Halyna Hutchins have negotiated an undisclosed settlement.

Matthew Hutchins, Hutchins' widower, revealed Wednesday that he will be an executive producer and get a percentage of the proceeds.

Our wrongful death complaint against 'Rust' producers Alec Baldwin and Rust Movie Productions, LLC has been settled, pending court approval.

Matthew said in a statement to Deadline that the movie will resume shooting in January 2023 with the "original principal players."

I don't want recriminations or blame-shifting (to the producers or Mr. Baldwin). We all believe Halyna's death was an accident," he said.

Joel Souza, who was injured by the same gunshot that killed Halyna Hutchins, said incorporating Matthew is part of his "attempts to heal."
