the talented woman and model said she felt the iconic broadcaster was after a "negative soundbite" during their controversial 1981 sit-down.

Barrymore asked Shields, then 15, her measurements and to stand up. "When I stood up, she compared herself to a child. I thought, "That's wrong." What's this?'"

She "felt taken advantage of in so many ways" but "behaved and smiled." Shields called her interview with Walters "practically criminal."

"But then you learn to say no," she said, recalling a tense meeting when she was "10 or something." This interviewer wasn't Walters, the model clarified.

Shields, 57, told the unnamed interviewer, "I don't think you want my answer because you keep asking me the same question, and this is my answer,

but I can't change it because it's my truth." Barrymore, 47, shared a negative Walters story but said she loves, admires, and respects him.

"I've never thought of Barbara Walters negatively," the actress said, and Shields agreed. Barrymore didn't like when the 93-year-old asked invasive questions.

"She said, 'Tell me about drugs and alcohol, your mother, bisexuality, everything,'" she said. "I told Barbara five, six, seven times that I was doing well."

Page Six's request for comment from Walters wasn't immediately returned.
