After ITV was reportedly canceled, the BBC was called in to capture the speech. Since the BBC had "experience of shooting in St George's Chapel this year," a Buckingham Palace spokeswoman confirmed the decision.

The Queen's Christmas speeches have traditionally been shot in Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, and Sandringham House, Norfolk.
