Hilarie Burton names Candace Cameron Bure a 'bigot' over marriage comments.

Candace Cameron Bure is a "bigot," according to Hilarie Burton. The "One Tree Hill" alum accused Cameron Bure of "openly admitting [her] racism" in a Wall Street Journal interview.

Burton, 40, tweeted, "I don't remember Jesus liking Candy." Okay. Profit, honey. "You ride that bias wave to the bank," she added.

Burton criticized network CEO Bill Abbott, who said he was "conscious of trends." The "True Crime Story" host said, "Being LGBTQ+ isn't a 'trend.'" Candy, too. Same-sex partnerships aren't unusual.

Burton said he "called this s–t out years ago" while Abbott was at Hallmark. Actress: "I'm delighted they dumped him."

Cameron Bure told the Wall Street Journal on Monday that she understood the Great American Family producers were Christians who wanted to promote religious programming and family entertainment.

"My heart wants to create stories with deeper significance and purpose," she said. Bure previously indicated she was "100% on board" with same-sex ventures.
