He lamented the loss of his son Angel while enjoying the arrival of his daughter Bella. Cristiano termed that period "the darkest point of my life" since his father's 2005 death in an interview with Piers Morgan Uncensored broadcast on Nov. 16 and 17 on TalkTV.

He and Georgina both had "tough moments because we don't understand why that happened."

Cristiano said the period was difficult because Angel's twin sister brought joy. "I've never been joyful and sad," he said. "It's hard to explain...you don't know whether to cry or smile." Athlete: "You're clueless. You're clueless."

Cristiano and Georgina have a 5-year-old daughter, Alana, while he has a 12-year-old son and 5-year-old twins. Angel's death was "the deepest heartbreak any parent can endure," the couple said in April.
