Bezos' longtime partner, Lauren Sanchez, tweeted on Instagram with a video of their remarks Friday before delivering the award to the country music legend and longtime philanthropist.

"We can't wait to see all the good you'll do with this $100 million award, @DollyParton." Parton, a longtime philanthropist, praised Bezos and Sanchez on Twitter. I invest in my passions. "I'll try to do good with this money," Parton tweeted. “Thanks @JeffBezos #LaurenSanchez”

Parton gave Vanderbilt University Medical Center $1 million towards COVID-19 vaccine development. "Honored and proud," she told BBC's "The One Show."

"I felt so happy to have been part of that little seed money that would hopefully grow into something big and help heal this world," she said. "I'm happy today to know I had any part in something that will help us through this awful pandemic."

Parton founded the Dollywood Foundation and The Imagination Library, a global book program, in 1988.

Parton also sponsored the $15,000 Dolly Parton Scholarship for college students in Tennessee. Van Jones and Andrés received $100 million apiece from Bezos last year.
