Melissa told Express.co.uk: "Kate looks more royal every year. "This pleases me since when she was first engaged to Prince William, I thought her outfit was too High Street, not enough designer."

Kate's wardrobe is full of Alexander McQueen, Jenny Packham, Burberry, and Emilia Wickstead, so she won't have to change her style when she becomes Queen Consort.

Melissa continued: "Her footwear selections are better these days, and she's been photographed wearing Gianvito Rossi rather than LK Bennett - far more elegant and comfier."

Said: "If she becomes Queen, she won't have to change her outfit much. "She wears a tailored coat dress, blazer, and pants, or a trouser suit. "The fit must be perfect, and she may choose brighter colors."

The late Queen chose bold colors to stand out in a crowd. Sophie Wessex explained: "To say "I saw the Queen," she must stand out.

"Don't forget that when she turns up anywhere, the crowds are two, three, four, 10, 15 deep, and someone wants to say they saw a little of the Queen's hat as she went past."

Kate's characteristic haircut and bolder colors may alter. The Princess like loose curls and always wears her hair down. Melissa anticipated this might change when she becomes Queen.

"I can potentially anticipate more hats in the future," she told Express.co.uk. "Kate's style is ideally matched to any royal tasks she may need to conduct as Queen," notwithstanding these alterations.
