Royal women have passed down many beautiful tiaras. Princess Diana's "firm favorite" was also Kate Middleton's.

Miranda Holder, a celebrity stylist and fashion team manager who posts TikTok videos under @themirandaholder, explained the tiara's history.

She said the "most famous royal tiara of all time" is the Lover's, Knot Tiara.

"Queen Mary commissioned the famous Lover's Knot Tiara in 1914," Miranda said. Diamonds and 19 silver-and-gold pearls decorate it. The tiara is worth £2–3 million.

Queen Elizabeth gave the tiara to Princess Diana, who made it famous. The Queen reportedly gave Princess Diana the Lover's Knot Tiara for her 1981 wedding.

Miranda added, "Diana made the Lover's Knot Tiara one of the most recognizable royal jewels." Princess Diana wore the tiara several times, but it hurt.

Miranda said she got terrible headaches from wearing it because it was heavy. The pear-shaped pearls' swinging made the tiara noisy. The Duchess of Cambridge and Cornwall love it anyway.

Miranda said, "Diana had to return the tiara to the queen after divorcing prince Charles, and it has now become a big favorite of Catherine, Princess of Wales."

The tiara wasn't worn publicly again until 2015, when Duchess Kate dressed it up at a Buckingham Palace reception, according to People Magazine.

Since then, Catherine has worn the tiara to the State dinner for the King and Queen of Spain in July 2017, a state dinner praising the King and Queen of the Netherlands in Dec 2017,

and the State Dinner party for then-President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump in June 2019. Miranda stated: "Catherine has worn this tiara extra than any others in the royal collection. I think she looks stunning in it."

"The Lover's Knot Tiara that we can see the royals dress up today is a 1914 replica of an early piece - and the place of the initial tiara is done believe to be within an unfamiliar private collection.

The Lover's Knot's ornate, bow-like diamond motifs top 20 exquisite, small triangular pearls that hang among diamond embellishments.

"The Lover's Knot is as romantic and whimsical as it feels and is believed to be worth £ 2 million or £ 3 million."
