The Princess of Wales visited the Reading Ukrainian Community Centre on Thursday, where she met displaced Ukrainian families and learned about the Center's help for individuals coming in the U.K. due to the situation in Ukraine.

Kate was given a traditional Ukrainian cake and told by volunteers how the Center has changed in recent months. She met Center-supported families to hear their tales.

Kate engaged youngsters in an art workshop because she loves art and young people. Monthly classes allow youngsters to have fun, make friends, and express emotions and experiences creatively.

The visit followed a virtual roundtable meeting convened by The Prince and Princess of Wales Foundation last week, where they shared best practices to support the First Lady of Ukraine's mental health strategy, which was announced in August to address the impact of the ongoing conflict on Ukrainians' mental wellbeing.
