Rick didn't want to air family business. This wasn't Kelly's idea.

Rick said that once he started dating Dodd in 2019, the two agreed on how Veronica "manipulated" the issue.

Rick claimed his relationship with his daughter worsened before he married Dodd in 2020.

"I've had troubles with my eldest daughter for years. During Veronica's wedding turmoil, he remarked on Instagram, "This isn't about Kelly."

If and when his daughter apologises and talks to him, they will mend their relationship. "She may live her life knowing she excluded me (and my wife) from her wedding. My daughter, not Kelly."

Rick stated he's "confident" most people "can relate with family troubles"

"I've had problems with my oldest daughter for years. This is sad. The lines of communication were always open, the statement said.

"She didn't call and didn't ask me and Kelly to her wedding to upset us. She's an adult and must live with her choice. Best wishes.”
