Trooping the Colour, the King's birthday procession in central London, will take place six weeks after his coronation on May 6.
The palace will hold the yearly festival on June 17, 2023, with hundreds of soldiers marching at Horse Guards Parade and a flypast above Buckingham Palace.
Queen Elizabeth's birthday was April 21, but the populace celebrated it in June since the weather is better! King Charles' birthday is in November, although he may celebrate publicly with his mother.
King George II began the tradition in 1748. George II was born in October, but the Trooping of the Colour became a royal and military ceremony.
