Charles will watch while the show's craftspeople fix two royal artefacts he chose: an 18th-century clock and a pottery from Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee.

In a sneak look released on social media, The Repair Shop host Jay Blades prepared two cups of tea before meeting the monarch and discussed how much it meant to have her on the show.

The episode was taped before Charles succeeded his mother, Queen Elizabeth, last month (he now has a mug with "HM" for "His Majesty"). The part was possibly one of his last as Prince of Wales.

"It's been an honor to restore these pieces for a man who loves traditional crafts as much as we do," Blades said.
