King Harald V of Norway Hospitalized with Infection Before Christmas

On Dec. 13, the 85-year-old monarch attended a pre-Christmas church service for the King's Guard.
The palace reported that Norway's King Harald V was hospitalized on Monday with an infection before Christmas.
The 85-year-old king is stable at Oslo's Rikshospitalet. According to the palace, "The King has been diagnosed with an illness which must be treated with intravenous antibiotics and will thus remain at Rikshospitalet for a few days."
After a busy month for King Harald, the news arrives. On Dec. 13, he attended a King's Guard church service at Oslo Cathedral.
The Oslo-Ski Double-Track Express railway line was inaugurated by King Harald the day before.
King Harald, who often uses walking canes, attended the Nobel Peace Prize Banquet at Oslo's Grand Hotel on Dec. 10.
