Love Is Blind's Deepti Vempati Talks Relationship & Zanab Comparisons

Love Is Blind doesn't imitate. Zanab Jaffrey spurned down fiancé Cole Barnett at the Love Is Blind season three finale, saying he "shattered my self-confidence."

She was compared to Deepti Vempati, who chastised Shake Chatterjee in season two. Deepti has heard fans say Zanab copied her for a positive edit, but she disagrees.

Deepti said at the 2022 API Excellence Celebration, "There have been many parallels." "We're in different positions. Cole is not Shake. Cole is immature. He's young, yet he seems to be growing and learning."

Zanab said their nuptials were taped a week apart, so she hadn't seen Deepti's speech before giving her own.

Deepti has been in touch with Zanab since season three aired, but she's giving her space following the emotional season three reunion. "I just want to give her some time to get through all that she's going through," she said.

Deepti has "dated a little" but is "focused on Deepti, and it's been fantastic." She dated co-star, Kyle Abrams, as they revealed in After the Altar, but they split on Sept. 19.

Deepti remains staunch in her partner preferences despite her public struggles.
