Netflix Debuts Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Documentaries.

You've never seen Meghan Markle and Prince Harry like this. On Thursday, Netflix published the Duke and Duchess of Sussex documentary's first trailer.

The docuseries Harry & Meghan will chronicle the couple's ups and downs. The close first look at the new documentary, which will premiere in December over six episodes,

contains personal video from the couple's life together, including during their 2018 wedding reception in Africa and while Meghan was pregnant.

The couple attends the 2019 Commonwealth Day celebration amid royal family and media hostility, with Meghan wiping her tears.

They also explained why they shared their tale for the first time. The commercial asks the pair, "Why did you make this documentary?"

Harry says, "Nobody sees what's happening behind closed doors." I had to safeguard my family. Meghan asks, "When the stakes are this great, doesn't it make sense to hear our tale from us?"

Netflix states, "the series recounts the secretive days of their early courtship and the hardships that led to them feeling forced to pull aside from their full-time duties in the institution."

The series "illuminates one couple's love story, presents an image of our world and how we treat each other, with comments from friends and relatives,

Love, Marilyn, What Happened, Miss Simone?, and Being Oscar-nominated Liz Garbus directed Cousteau. In an October Variety interview, Meghan briefly described the docuseries.
