The Prince of Wales, 40, opened Friday's ceremony in Boston with a short film at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway, which included his wife Kate Middleton.

In honor of President Kennedy, William, 40, chose Boston for the second Earthshot Prize Awards event.

The Earthshot Prize, inspired by President Kennedy's 10-year Moonshot to land on the moon, promotes impactful solutions to the world's most pressing environmental issues during the next decade.
