For the first time, Kate and Prince William brought their eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, to the service.

As usual, the royal mother attended the morning service at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham in a trendy furry-trimmed Catherine Walker coat, but she told Karen Anvil and her daughter Rachel that she regretted her choice of clothes because she was hot.

Karen told Metro: "Kate was discussing clothes and her heat with my daughter. 'I shouldn't have worn this' she said."

Karen, who famously photographed the "fab four" photo of the Cambridges and Sussexes walking to church in 2017, handed Charlotte a doll, which the young royal accepted.

The small child received a doll and a pink inflatable flamingo from another royal fan and hugged her to thank her.
