The British socialite, the late monarch's maid of honor at her 1953 coronation, said the historical drama made her "so angry" that she stopped watching it.

"The difficulty is that people, particularly in America, accept it totally," Lady Glenconner told BBC News 4's Woman's Hour. It's annoying."

I don't watch The Crown anymore because it gets me so upset. "And it's very unjust on members of the royal family," Glenconner, Princess Margaret's lady-in-waiting for over three decades, said.

Glenconner called a season 2 sequence in which Prince Phillip encouraged his sister, Princess Cecile of Greece, to take an aircraft that killed her "absolutely incorrect."

"To say something like that about individuals is painful," she said. "Nobody wants their relationships ruined."
