Lady Anne Glenconner, a maid of honor at the late Queen's June 1953 coronation, called the Netflix film "pure fantasy" on Thursday's BBC Radio 4 Woman's Hour.

"[It's] extremely unjust on members of the Royal Family," said Lady Glenconner, Princess Margaret's lady-in-waiting for over three decades.

"The problem is that people, especially Americans, accept it entirely," she said. "It's aggravating. I can't stand The Crown anymore."

Glenconner, 90, was especially critical of the 1937 plane tragedy that killed Prince Philip's sister, Princess Cecile of Greece.

In season 2 of The Crown, the late Duke of Edinburgh urged his sister to board the deadly flight, which Glenconner deemed "absolutely incorrect."
