Royal watchers may have observed royals wearing red poppy pins recently.
Kate Middleton and Prince William wore the flowers in Scarborough on Nov. 3, and William also wore them to the 10th annual Tusk Conservation Awards and Film Africa festival earlier in the week.
King Charles III, Queen Camilla, and Princess Anne donned the pins to a Buckingham Palace reception honoring Tokyo 2020 and Beijing 2022 athletes.
Royals wear poppy pins every November. Since 1921, the poppy has been used to honor war dead.
The red flower is British. 11 November is Remembrance Day.
