Royal insiders say King Charles will never strip the Sussexes of their titles, no matter how tense things get or what is alleged in Thursday's second episode of Netflix's "Harry & Meghan."

On their wedding day, May 19, 2018, the late Queen Elizabeth II gave Prince Harry and Meghan Markle their Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles.

After the three episodes of the Netflix miniseries, published last week, revealed more about their wretched lives behind palace walls, critics claimed the pair should forfeit their titles.

Piers Morgan tweeted: "King Charles needs to remove these two deadly rats of all last titles and ties to the Royal Family and wants to do it fast before they ruin the monarchy."

"Stripping their title is not something the monarch would likely ever consider... mostly because it would be so petty and punitive," a palace source told Page Six.

The source continued, "It would simply lead to the Sussexes arguing that it was a punitive measure and proof they were never welcome in the royal family."

Markle, 41, says in a Netflix series trailer released Monday, "I wasn't thrown to the wolves. I was being fed to the wolves."

Harry says, "They were happy to lie to save my brother [Prince William]. They were never honest to defend us."

Harry, 38, alludes to "they" in the teaser, but Page Six reports that the pair will discuss palace staff bullying them.

Markle would become Princess Henry under royal procedure if the Sussexes lost their titles. (Only royal princesses can use their given names. Princess Michael of Kent's wife gets her husband's name.

One royal observer suggested the Sussexes quit using their titles because they labeled the show "Harry & Meghan." They're sending confusing signals.

"Harry could abandon his princely title if he desires, just as Princess Patricia of Connaught, a granddaughter of Queen Victoria, did when she wedded a commoner just over a century ago,"

Harry and Meghan want royal titles for Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1, but Charles is waiting until the Netflix program and Harry's memoir, "Spare," due Jan. 10.

The Sussexes will attend Charles' coronation in May, Page Six said. The Sussexes and the king declined to comment.
